The Chirps

Look at the sucky art on the wall. What? Posted by Picasa

The Chirps

Just about all of my shots of the Chirps ended up blurry. Could it be that there's just too much action for action shots? Here's Jason and Chaz. Posted by Picasa

Temple Club 10-5

Tahquamenon Falls: 2 piece crazy-assedness, must be heard to be believed. It was nice hearing them at the Temple Club because I usually hear them at basement and pirate shows where the sound is no good. Their songs are so ridiculous & clever. Draw a Big Dick On It, We Go Together Like Creepy & Stupid, Hammer Time. Great stuff. Posted by Picasa

Show in the Temple Club Red Light lounge on Friday 10-5

Space Brains ... hooboy. Fucking great. I was disappointed that I couldn't hear much of the sax. Every instrument in this band is totally out there. AJ is a maniac on guitar. Graham I think plays on every drum at once. Ben does things on bass I've never heard and makes it all spooky with his rockabilly-swamp vocals. The songs are a mixture between crazy jazz-noise and bluesy garage punk. And they look damn cool. I'm in awe of this band. Can't wait for a cd. Posted by Picasa

Began with the Civil Death Riot Squad. Young punk kids all X-handed. Fast & furious punk rock and a frontman with a pretty unique sounding voice, sort of a mix between the Rudi Peni singer and the Filth singer. They seemed a bit nervous but this is definitely a band to watch out for. I'd really like to see them at a basement punk rock show, where they might get a bit wilder. Posted by Picasa
